What is ageing? The commonly used definition of ageing is the process of getting old. João Pedro De Magalhães, a senior lecturer at the University of Liverpool, says that “Ageing is the greatest biomedical challenge of the 21st century. As such, this framework will increase our ability to develop longevity drugs and interventions that target diseases related to the ageing process.” At 100 Year Lifestyle, we don’t see ageing as a disease, and we don’t believe that experiencing disease needs to be part of ageing.
It’s lifestyle that impacts the ageing process for each and every one of us. You can be sure that if you have based your health on pharmaceuticals and not paid any attention to diet, exercise, sleep, relationships, or any of the other things that create quality of life — then you can continue to expect more pharmaceuticals and decreased quality of life as you age. And that is true whether you are 25,100, or any age in between.
